We
have had an amazing amount of people drive by and either pull over to the side,
or completely turn around to have a second look at these strange newcomers to
this side of the country. Our yaks have drawn a crowd. When we explain where
we live to perfect strangers, as soon as we say County Rte with black fence,
they know EXACTLY where we live and HOW many yaks we have!!!
This amazes me, especially as we are
not that busy a route! So, here it is, spring by all
means, and our once gorgeous thick coated yaks are beginning to shed their
coats. YIKES, you think we'll be turned in for negligence? Here you will find
them totally CHILLING in an afternoon siesta.

I'd come over and brush them down if you weren't so dang far away.
One of our local farms has a yak. When it was orphaned and unable to nurse, she put a goat on a table. The baby yak nursed from the goat who was standing on the table!
holy SMOKES are they cute animals!!!
i haven't ever looked this far back (only found you through Feline Friday recently, i guess) - - may i ask what state you live in? so curious as to where these yaks are! --phinney
