Feline Friday and a little PeekABoo

The kittens are already a few days past 5 weeks old!  I need to get my fill of photos before it's time to send them to their new homes!  After relocating for weeks under the guest bed, they finally moved to the kitty bed.  Here, I caught them after an afternoon nap, peeking out to see what all the commotion was.

It's Feline Friday!!

It's FELINE FRIDAY, hosted by   Steven's (sometimes photoblog) <-- visit for a whole listing of other Feline Friday participants.!  Kolohe, my mischievous one, is the center of attraction this week as he replaces his sister, Kaui, in my dish cabinet!

I KNOW he taught his sister this neat trick ... to put pawprints all over my dishes ... I have learned (to some degree) to be sure to keep the cabinet doors closed now since his first sneak entry into the dark world of cups, bowls, saucers and plates!

Inspectors on Feline Friday!

I have a house full of super sleuths.  My curious cats have been entertained by an eastern milksnake.  Captured in our hallway, we quickly put it in a glass jar while we researched more on this snake.  Kolohe, Kaui and Ms Kitty kept all eyes on the snake while we checked it out.

Here is a yet another example of cat inspectors.  Kaui hopped into the cabinet to get a better look at the paint job!!!

Giving the neighbors something to really YAK about

We have had an amazing amount of people drive by and either pull over to the side, or completely turn around to have a second look at these strange newcomers to this side of the country.  Our yaks have drawn a crowd.  When we explain where we live to perfect strangers, as soon as we say County Rte with black fence, they know EXACTLY where we live and HOW many yaks we have!!!  This amazes me, especially as we are not that busy a route!  So, here it is, spring by all means, and our once gorgeous thick coated yaks are beginning to shed their coats.   YIKES, you think we'll be turned in for negligence?  Here you will find them totally CHILLING in an afternoon siesta.

I think I'll run away . . .

. . . from those darned cats!  Everytime I turn on the treadmill, Kolohe thinks he must run along with me!

Of late, he is intent on figuring out how things work .. I caught him underneath, taking a peek at things from the underside ... LUCKY for him, it was not time for my daily jog!
